Apprentices
Applications for 2027 are open until 15 December 2026. Masters choose their apprentices; the foundation pays.

Masters apply by 15 December for one or two places. Fifteen years in the craft, and work in a museum or sold at the fairs.

Apprentices aged 16 to 30 write to the master or to us. Living in the master's district helps.

From 1 March, eighteen months in the workshop: 9,000 som a month for the apprentice, 6,000 for the master, and materials.

The finished piece is judged by two masters and a Palace of Art curator and shown at the winter fair.
